Jennifer Lyons CVT, VTS (ECC)

Jennifer Lyons is a charter member of Wasatch Animal Group (WAG), bringing to the team years of clinical experience, deep empathy, and a passion for teaching. She holds a master’s degree in animal biology from UC Davis, after which she advanced rapidly through general practice to become a leader in veterinary critical care. In 2021, Jennifer achieved certification as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency & Critical Care (VTS-ECC), the highest level of certification in the field, a credential held by only a select few veterinary professionals in Utah.

At WAG, Jennifer serves as a PACK leader, dedicated to elevating the clinical team’s skills and mentoring technicians striving for VTS certification. While she thrives in all aspects of critical care, she specializes in complex respiratory cases, particularly mechanical ventilation, and managing critical surgical patients across all stages of care. Outside the clinic, Jennifer is a recognized leader in the broader veterinary community, serving as a board member and frequent author for Today’s Veterinary Nurse. She regularly shares her expertise as a national speaker, local continuing education instructor, and content creator on her YouTube channel.
