Transparent Veterinary Pricing at WAG in Salt Lake City, UT

Emergency and specialty veterinary care can feel stressful, especially when you are trying to understand both the medical plan and the cost of treatment. At WAG, our goal is to make pricing easier to understand whenever a service can be packaged in a predictable way.

Our packaged prices include the procedure or surgery, anesthesia medications and monitoring, and essential medications for post-operative care. Some packages may also include select lab testing, biopsy testing, imaging, or post-operative hospitalization, depending on the service.

Package pricing is available only for qualifying pets. These prices are subject to change, and critically ill pets, unstable patients, complex cases, pets with undiagnosed illness, and pets with significant comorbidities may not qualify for packaged pricing. If your pet is not eligible, our team will provide a detailed estimate based on their specific needs.

What Is Included in Packaged Pricing?

Urgent care is for health concerns that need prompt attention but are not immediately life-threatening. Emergency care is for symptoms or injuries that may put your pet’s life, comfort, or long-term health at risk if treatment is delayed. The line between urgent and emergency can be hard to judge at home. If your pet’s symptoms are sudden, intense, or rapidly getting worse, emergency evaluation is the safer choice.

Packaged pricing is designed for routine, predictable procedures and treatments. These packages are slightly discounted from typical itemized pricing and are fixed and non-negotiable.

Package pricing typically includes:

  • Anesthesia medications and monitoring

  • The procedure or surgery

  • Essential medications to take home

Some packages may also include post-operative hospitalization, recheck lab testing, biopsy testing, bacterial culture, advanced imaging, or additional diagnostics when specifically noted.

Packages do not include:

  • Additional medications, testing, or treatments not included in the package

  • Pre-operative consultation, testing, or workup

  • Medications or treatments unrelated to the package

  • Life-saving emergency care, such as CPR

  • Management or treatment of unforeseen complications

Package prices are best suited for:

  • Pets in stable condition with an existing diagnosis

  • Routine or predictable procedures

  • Services where costs can be estimated clearly in advance

Package pricing may not apply to:

  • Unstable or critically ill pets

  • Complex surgeries or less predictable procedures

  • Pets with undiagnosed illnesses

  • Pets with significant health conditions that increase risk

  • Emergency complications or life-saving interventions

Prices are subject to change. Our team will review your pet’s needs, explain whether a package applies, and provide an estimate before moving forward whenever possible.
