Mel Macho

Mel brings eight years of veterinary experience to Wasatch Animal Group (WAG), having previously supported operations across the west and south regions as a medical equipment specialist for a large specialty hospital group. At WAG, Mel ensures day-to-day operations run seamlessly through strategic inventory management, product sourcing, and specialized inventory support—with a particular focus on surgical and orthopedic implant management.

Her role is vital to patient care: Mel ensures the clinical team is equipped day and night with everything required to deliver advanced specialty care efficiently. Driven by a commitment to expanding access to care, she leverages smart procurement and ordering practices to generate cost savings that are passed directly on to pet owners. To join the WAG team, Mel relocated to Salt Lake City alongside her husband, their two young children, and her beloved pit bull.
